A couch derived from a connection system that employs simple nuts and machine screws. Each part is completely rearrangeable, repairable, and reusable. We must move away from the ephemeral nature of products and look toward a more sustainable future… without sacrificing good looks of course!
The parts of this design can apply to a wide range of applications thanks to the unspecific nature of each part. What’s important here is value retention. If one part breaks the whole is not worthless, each part still has value; sort of like legos. If we have learned anything over the pandemic, it’s that adaptability, sustainability, and empathy are crucial for the future of humans and The 1000 Inch Couch aims to fulfill these necessities.
